The International Summer School 2025 has successfully come to an end. We would like to thank everyone who again made this event possible — especially the dedicated organizing team at FH Salzburg. A big thank you also goes to all the guest speakers who generously shared their expertise with us, and to the students from our partner universities who participated in the many insightful discussions and engaging seminars. Once again, the exchange of knowledge was truly enriching and led to new perspectives and ideas.
Our Summer School is scheduled from June 25 - June 30. It will take place in Austria at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences Campus Urstein, the workshops will also be accessible online. It is a joint cooperation of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Haute École Libre Mosane (Liège, Belgium) and ASH Berlin.
Participants in presence will be granted access to selected events of the European Conference on Social Work Education with the topic "Social Connectedness - Contemporary Challenges and Opportunities" organized by the European Assocciation of Schools of Social Work.
Target Audience
Where you are from or how old you are does not matter. However, please note that we do not offer funding.
Therefore, the main target group are social work students (or students from similar disciplines).
Number of Participants
This year’s program will admit up to 40 participants.
Certificate and ECTS Credits
Every participant will receive 3 ECTS credits for taking part in this year’s International Summer School.
In order to receive a Certificate of Attendance with 5 credit points, students are required to write a 1.500 – 2.000-word paper discussing the main headline. The paper should be submitted in
advance and fulfill the standards of academic writing. An English level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is recommended.
Forms of Participation
Students of the three partner universities apply with their respective International Offices and will receive funding for their travel expenses.
Hybrid events
All other people interested in the topic of the summer school can follow selected events via video conferencing.

The International Summer School 2024 is over. We want to thank everyone involved who helped making this event happen, especially the organization Team at the FH Salzburg. Also a big "Thank You" to all the guest speakers who shared their knowledge and of course the students from our three partner universities who engaged in meaningful discussions.
The successful cooperation with our partners will be continued, this year´s international summer school is jointly prepared by the Universities of Applied Sciences Salzburg and Berlin. The third partner is Croix-Rouge Compétence Centre, Val de Loire in Tours (France).
The event will take place from June 30 to July 5 at FACHHOCHSCHULE SALZBURG, address: Urstein Süd 1, 5412 SALZBURG (Austria).
A couple of workshops will be transmitted by video conferencing, they appear in the program as hybrid events.

Summer School 2023 will treat the subject of "Digitalization in Fields of Social Work and Health Promotion". A joint team of University of Applied Sciences Salzburg and ASH Berlin is preparing the event to be held from July 1 to July 7 in Berlin.

It was a pleasure hosting such an interesting event. Since the topic of Digitization & Artificial Intelligence is of much importance to us & there are still a lot of open questions, we are considering to dive deeper into the given topic during our next Summer Schools. We proudly announce the program of the Summer School 2022 in Berlin from June 25 to July 01. It is prepared in close cooperation with the study group "Technology Assessment of Digitalization" of the Federation of German Scientists. The Summer School will be organized in presence format.
